Friday, May 24 seems like a big day for traveling from Ho Chi Minh City to Lao Cai. In the morning we have a free day and suggested things to do are visit the Hall of Reunification and War Remnant Museum. The Hall of Reunification would be really neat to see because of the history associated with the palace. This was the home and office of the South Vietnamese President during the war and is where the Vietnam war came to an end as a tank drove through the front of the palace. I think the Hall of Reunification would be better to see over the War Remnant Museum because it’s an exact location where American and Vietnamese history took place. Later that day we pack our bags and hop on our second flight to travel to Hanoi, which will be a quick two-hour flight. Although, this flight is quick our day of traveling is not over that fast. As soon as we land we take a car to board the overnight train to Lao Cai. In a previous blog post, I touched on my nerves and excitement taking a train for the first time. After realizing how much traveling we will be doing this day I think I’ll be more tired than nervous on the train and sleep great that night.
