I’ve always been told not to dress “like and American” when I leave the country. Sometimes, it’s hard to define what that style is. Typically graphic t-shirts and athletic wear are the big no-nos. Running shorts are considered athletic wear, but people can still wear them outside the US. It can be really hard to nor dress like “tourist” when you don’t have easy access to the styles of clothing in other countries. It seems they dress a little more modestly in Vietnam than here. Since that really isn’t the style here, it can be kind of hard to find that style of clothing. I’m also way too short for maxi skirts.
