We have less three weeks until we depart for Vietnam on Monday, May 20th. The closer we get to the trip the more excited and anxious I get to leave the country for the first time. I’m continuing this weeks blog post by researching the places in Vietnam we will be visiting while abroad. On May 26th we start the day early in Taiphin Village at 0815. Online has Taiphin Village spelled as Ta Phin so I’m interested to know what is the proper spelling for the village. I did some research on Ta Phin village and learn it is much different than Cat Cat village because it is described as a real local village and not a commercial village. People say when visiting Ta Phin village you’re surrounded with culture and not major tourist attractions. Ta Phin Village is also the home of the Red Dao’s ethnic group and these people work to preserve the rich culture and stay far from modern life. After researching Ta Phin village this is a place I’m very excited to visit because of its culture.
