This is day 2 of living through the cyclone. Although the cyclone has passed through us, there is still a lot of wind and some have rain showers here and there. despite everything that was happening the people of Fiji are so kind and loving! The workers at the Novotel we so generous and polite it was amazing. One thing I was very amazed about was even though we were going through a cyclone it was almost like you never knew you were. The grounds crew was working non stop to clean up all the debris and keep the resort looking spotless!
As the winds had died down, we were finally about to venture out of the resort on foot and take a look at the local IGA market. This market was like no other. They had items ranging from luggage to food to your household items. While we were there I saw a kit-kat that was a mint chocolate chip flavor, and thinking back to it I kind of regret not getting it! A little down the ways in the same area as the market, there was this most adorable little restaurant called graces kitchen! The inside was cute and the smells coming from the kitchen where impeccable! Their generosity and hospitality was through the roof. only if we Americans could pick up some of those qualities!
Well Fiji you have been beautiful but I can certainly say I am ready to leave.
