Happy Holidays, Bears!

Happy Holidays
Happy Holidays

And just like that, today marks the end of finals for the fall 2020 academic semester here at Missouri State University. It has been a long one full of trials and uncertainty, but you did it. I’ll say it again in case you missed it- You. Did. It. You persevered through everything this semester and this year threw at you, and you came out on top of it all. We, as members of the Department of Theatre and Dance could not be more proud of all the growth everyone has shown and the personal and academic accomplishments everyone has achieved.

Please take a moment to read these words of encouragement and endearment offered by our faculty and staff members in recognition and know that you continue to inspire them every single day as they strive to inspire you.

Congratulations to All! We made it through one crazy semester! Thank you for your tenacity. May your holidays be safe, and may next year bring a little more sunshine to us all.

– Anna Hunt

Stay healthy, be active, eat well, remain present, love, rest, and enjoy the time off!

Wishing you joy this holiday season, Kylie Wheeler

To all our T&D students, I wish you safe, healthy, and glorious holidays. May there be PEACE, may there be LOVE, and may there be FUN.

With fondness and admiration, Lisa Brescia

I am so proud of all of us for gritting our teeth and pushing through! I feel somehow that we are going through a process of rebirth, like seeds pushing our way through the earth into new sunlight. Keep this image of sunny new growth in your heart for the next few winter months while our part of the world pushes through viruses of all kinds. We strive for new growth!

– Telory Arendell

Hello, T&D Bears!

We are so proud of all your hard work, dedication, passion, and support for one another and the department. This was a challenging semester, but as bears do, we persevered and did it!

To those of you graduating, YES!! You did it!! You are going out into the ‘real world’ to follow your passions and drink up the world.

To those of you who will be returning for the Spring semester, I can’t wait to see your smiling faces; I can see them even under the mask.

To all the students, life goes by way too fast. Enjoy this time with your loved ones, treasure every moment, remember to laugh, and smile, and enjoy. As Ferris Bueller says, “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”  (but please be safe and smart!).

We love each and every one of you.

Happy Holidays!

– Kathleen Haines

As you all venture into the holiday season, continue being safe and looking out for each other, but also take a moment to congratulate yourselves on all of your hard work and integrity. You’ve earned it. We look forward to seeing all of you in the new year.
