Fall Studio Series features student-produced “Hunak”

It’s officially fall in Springfield and with the changing leaves come exciting productions from Missouri State’s theatre and dance department. Alumna Lauren Sweetser appearing in new film

Missouri State University acting alum Lauren Sweetser (Winters Bone, Addicted) stars in The Riot Act, which is being theatrically released mid-Sept. Over a dozen Missouri State current Acting and Musical Theater majors did background work on the film. Strengthen skills in lyrics and music

The theatre and dance department is pleased to welcome Broadway songwriter Craig Carnelia, who will teach an intersession class in songwriting. Notable Broadway actress joins theatre and dance faculty

Broadway actress Lisa Brescia will be the theatre and dance department’s next assistant professor in acting. She will begin in the fall 2016 semester.
