This week’s Student Spotlight is over the caring and dedicated Brooke Williamson!
“Brooke is one of the nicest people you will ever meet, as well as one of the fiercest dancers!”
Brooke is a sophomore in the Bachelor of Fine Arts Dance program. She has several theatre and dance competition credits from high school and has since danced in the Fall Dance Concert 2020, Spring Dance Concert 2020 All That Jazz and Amal pieces, Butterfly by Ruth Barnes, and pieces in the 2021 spring dance concert Dancing the Next Dimension at Missouri State University. She is also a part of the The Milly Project and an Executive Board Member of the student organization MOStateDanceCo. Her peers stated that she is “able to master and create an environment for herself and others that is comfortable and allows her to express herself using dance. She is setting the tone for those who wish to dance but feel as though they are held back- that as long as you work hard and put your heart into what you are doing, then you can accomplish all you desire.”
Outside of school and dance, her friends shared that she is a very genuine person. “Her traits in school are just amplified outside of it. She is so passionate about her beliefs and the people that she cares about. She’s hilarious, and she is always dancing!” “Brooke is someone you can open up and talk to. She is able to light up any room she goes into, and anyone who has a chance to meet her outside of class will have a friend that will care for and always be there for them.” It is so abundantly clear how much of an impact she has had on those around her and that she is truly surrounded by those that love and cherish her support and friendship.
Congratulations Brooke on all of your personal and academic successes!
