At the Missouri State Fruit Experiment Station

Wine appreciation food and wine pairing

May 5, 2011 by Marilyn Odneal

The last Wine Appreciation for Consumers class for the semester was held last evening in Karls Hall in Sprinfield. In the first flight we  investigated particular taste pairs and in the second flight we explored three wine and food pairing approaches. Winners were strawberries and sweet riesling, pepperjack cheese and sweet riesling, gorgonzola grapes and tawny port, zinfandel and pizza bites, and several others. Thanks to Teri Trickey of Sodexo Dining Services for the wonderful food.
