Richard T. Hughes, Distinguished Professor of Religion at Messiah College, will deliver a public lecture on “Christian America and the Kingdom of God” on 19 October 2009 at 7:30 p.m. in Meyer Library 101. This event is open to the public.
Dr. Hughes is senior fellow at the Boyer Center and Distinguished Professor of Religion at Messiah College, Pennsylvania. He is the author of several books, including “Myths America Lives By,” “The Vocation of a Christian Scholar: How Christian Life Can Sustain the Life of the Mind,” “Reviving the Ancient Faith: The Story of Churches of Christ in America,” and “Christian America and the Kingdom of God.”
Copies of his most recent book, “Christian America and the Kingdom of God,” will be available for purchase, and a book-signing will follow the lecture.
