Zoë’s Bucket List…Equip Yourself with Bear-Puns!

June 29, 2016 by Priscilla Childress

One of my favorite traditions here at Missouri State University is the use of bear-puns whenever possible! SOAR is one of the first places students will start to see the use of bear puns. Some common ones are; talking about how things are unBEARable , being BEARy excited about something or not being able to BEAR waiting for something. I think this “bear” language we choose to use around campus creates a fun atmosphere for all involved. n9o31

Many may claim to not think bear puns are funny, but I bet that no one can help but at least flash a tiny smile when they hear one. There is an unlimited amount of bear-pun options and I feel like it is a daily challenge to try to come up with new and clever ones.

Sure, people like to roll their eyes when a bear-pun is said, but I think it secretly brings them a little bit of joy to hear things about their favorite university being used in everyday conversation. There are many ways to show your maroon and white pride, bear-puns are just one way you can have fun while doing so!

P.S. Be prepared to hear at least one bear-pun if you ever encounter me on campus. #BearUp
