Whether this is your students’ first time on campus or they are returning for another year, it is important that not only you but your student is aware of the expectations that we have for their behavior while attending Missouri State University. Students are responsible for knowing, understanding, and abiding by the Code of Student Rights and Responsibilities. This document, located on the Office of Student Conduct’s website, outlines what the university and the Office of Student Conduct expect from students. In addition to information pertaining to what is a violation of our Code of Student Rights and Responsibilities, the website also details what happens if a policy violation occurs and what kind of consequence the student can expect if found responsible for a policy violation.
If your student is living in a residence hall, their Hall Director reviewed this information with them at their first hall meeting. We encourage your student to review all policies to ensure they are aware of what entails a policy violation not only in the residence halls but also on campus.
If your student will be commuting to campus, feel free to refer them to the Office of Student Conduct website or they can call (417) 836-6937 for more information.
