Bear POWER – Fall 2020 Update

September 16, 2020 by Priscilla Childress

Bear POWER students are excited to be back on campus as they prepare to start Fall 2020 internships this week. Students will be working in departments across campus, as well as non-profits and businesses throughout the Springfield Community. Thank you to our dedicated staff member Angie Sachse, Internship Supervisor, for the work she is doing to ensure internship placements, training, and site-visits.

Bear POWER has partnered with a total of 18 different site locations where students can choose to do internships, based on their career interests and goals after graduation. Examples of departments on campus include the MSU Child Development Center, MSU Welcome Center, MSU Service Learning Office, MSU Office of Visual Media, and MSU Foster Recreation. Off campus internship sites options include Springfield Little Theatre, Art Inspired Academy, Rescue One, EnCompass Academy, Wonders of Wildlife, KSMU Radio, and Bass Pro. We look forward to sharing updates and photos of our students in their internships sites this Fall semester.
