The Center for Dispute Resolution is offering a free
Facilitation Skills Training
Tuesday, October 16th from 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
In Missouri State University’s Plaster Student Union room 315BC
This training will provide an overview of basic group facilitation skills and will prepare you to facilitate small group discussions that will be taking place as part of Public Dialogue sessions sponsored by the Center for Dispute Resolution.
Facilitation Volunteer Opportunities
As a part of our Public Affairs mission the Center for Dispute Resolution supports a number of community public dialogue efforts. These sessions offer students an excellent chance to practice and build their facilitation skills while supporting positive and productive dialogue and discussion in our community. Currently scheduled facilitation opportunities include the following:
- Thursday, October 18th from 5-8 p.m. – small group dialogue facilitation for the local district of the Methodist Church – this dialogue session will focus on the church’s response to LGBTQ issues
- Tuesday, October 30th from 5-8 p.m. – small group dialogue facilitation for parents, students, and staff at Glendale High School – this dialogue will focus on issues of concern for Glendale High School community
