Enroll now to learn about how to manage conflict in organizations by taking “COM 623 (Contemporary Topics in Conflict): Conflict Processes in Organizations” virtually this spring! This course counts toward the Graduate Certificate in Conflict and Dispute Resolution, and may count as an elective in many other programs.

In this interactive online course, explore how to identify, analyze and manage conflict in a wide range of organizations.

  • Learn about the types of conflict that occur in organizations, including conflicts that arise related to diversity (race, gender, sex, age, etc.), interpersonal issues, cultural differences, and more.
  • Explore methods of conflict management in organizations, including mediation, conflict coaching, and facilitated dialogue.
  • Gain an understanding of how to facilitate the development of conflict system designs that can support an organization in productively and proactively managing conflict within its unique culture and context.
