Word has spread that the CDR offers unparalleled virtual mediation training, and our October 2021 session filled in record time! Based upon popular demand, we have added a second virtual Civil and Family Mediation Training this November 10-14 – but we recommend you register early to reserve your seat!

Learn more about what mediation is on the CDR website or at Mediate.com.

The CDR has a nearly 20-year track record for offering outstanding mediation training, and our virtual mediation trainings provide participants with an accessible, engaging, enjoyable, and professionally enriching experience.

The principal trainer for this event will be CDR Director Dr. Charlene Berquist, with Associate Director Heather Blades providing Zoom production and technical support and administration. The event will also incorporate selected guest presentations and mediation role play coaching from over a dozen professional mediators (with experience in all types of mediation, including civil mediation, family mediation, employment mediation, dependency mediation, and more), including alumni of the Conflict Certificate programs.

As always, the training meets the Missouri Supreme Court training requirements for mediators under Rules 17 and 88 (and has been previously approved in many states as well, including Arkansas and Kansas). It also offered continuing education credit for attorneys, counselors, social workers, human resource professionals, and police officers, among others.

Participants in the CDR’s mediation training come from all walks of life and include attorneys, mental health professionals, social service workers, faith leaders, managers, educators, and more, plus students from Missouri State University in the Conflict Certificate programs. The diversity of attendees enriches the experience of all involved as participants connect and learn from one another, as well as from the many expert coaches and presenters who take part in the event.

Check out comments from past mediation training attendees here.
