Employees at Missouri State will soon see alerts at the top and bottom of incoming email messages that originate outside of the Missouri State email system. We are adding these alerts to provide a visual indication that a message is external with the goal of reducing the impact of phishing, malware, and impersonation emails. The screenshot below is an example of what you will see:

These alerts will be applied to all email originating outside of Missouri State, except for official university email from systems hosted in the cloud, like Blackboard and Office 365. If you notice these alerts on official university email, please contact the Information Security Office at InformationSecurity@missouristate.edu.
