Professor awarded contracts for bat habitat research

July 16, 2012 by Gale Lininger

Dr. Lynn Robbins, professor of biology at Missouri State University, has been awarded two contracts with the Sho-Me Power Electric Cooperative totaling $31,842, to research the habitat suitability and presence of Indiana bats in Pulaski and Webster counties. The two projects will determine if areas in the two counties contain potentially suitable habitats for spring, summer or fall use by the bats using aerial photography, land cover data and on-site assessment.

For more information, contact Robbins at (417) 836-5336.
