Bull Shoals Field Station was featured in the Ozarks Water Watch July 24.
Here is an excerpt.
The Bull Shoals Field Station’s mission is to provide a location for faculty, students and visiting scientists to conduct research and educational programs that increase public understanding of southwest Missouri ecosystems, specifically the Missouri Ozarks. They host university class field trips (from several universities) and host GLADE (Green Leadership Academy for Diverse Ecosystems) in the summers.
There are a variety of research projects being conducted by professors and students. Examples of past and present studies include invasive zooplankton, effects of fire on forest regeneration, wintering bat ecology, pygmy rattlesnake movements and many more.
