CNAS Seminars this week
- CSC – 11:15 AM-12:05 PM, Wednesday, September, 29, Cheek Hall 212. By Jess Koch (MSU Alumna). Jess will be discussing Koch Industries and the companies (and opportunities) within Koch. She will also speak about profession development tips for IT careers.
- PAMS – 4:00-5:00 PM, Thursday, September 30, Kemper 206. By Dr. Shun Saito, Missouri S&T. “Cosmic Acceleration and the Role of Galaxy Surveys”.
- GGP – 2:30-3:30 PM, Friday, October 1, Temple Hall 002. By Dr. William Jackson, University of Memphis. “Rolling on the River: Detrital-zircon geochronology of Late Pleistocene deposits in the Mississippi River Valley”.
- The 3-Minute Thesis competition will be held this fall. CNAS event is October 25 and University event is November 12. Students must compete and win the CNAS event to be part of the University event.
Popsicles with Purpose will be outside of Temple Hall east doors by the dean’s office. An opportunity to meet faculty (all ranks) and staff who have common interests. If you are interested in leading a topic discussion – please let me know. Thank you to all of the faculty who have already led discussions – music, zoo, medicinal plants, kayaking, parks, biking, trails, birthdays, running. Please know that we can repeat topics.
