Missouri State University Theatre and Dance Department’s “Fantastic Journey” opens the spring semester with a production of “Almost, Maine.”
On a cold winter’s night, under the curtain of the northern lights, the inhabitants of a magical town fall in and out of love in unpredictable and hilarious ways. In a series of nine vignettes, characters ponder the mysteries of the human heart and the ethereal nature of romance. Like the aurora’s electrically charged display, love shimmers and dances and, even when it fades, leaves its afterglow. Capricious emotions are explored with sweetness, whimsy, humor and poignancy, making Almost, Maine, the perfect destination for valentines!
