Missouri State will host it's 19th annual Ozarks Celebration Festival on Sept. 9-11 this year. Iwona Duszek, senior instructor of art and design, received a special recognition award in the "15th Annual Collage, Digital & Mixed Media Juried Online International Art Exhibition" hosted by Upstream People Gallery for her work "Quo Vadis." Megan Johnson, a Missouri State graduate student, has been awarded a top honor for her art featured in the MOAK 4-State Regional Art Exhibition. Her charcoal drawing of a women’s hair in a bun, “Sinker,” received a $500 cash award. Johnson graduated in May with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and is now a student in the Masters of Art in Teaching program.
