The community will have the chance to see short films made by Missouri State students on Nov. 14 at the Springfield Regional Arts Council’s Dinner & A Movie fundraiser.
The event will be held at Gilardi’s Ristorante on Walnut Street where guests will receive a four-course meal in a private room. The media, journalism and film department will present the four short films.
Dinner begins at 6 p.m., and tickets are $125. RSVP to SRAC at 417-862-2787.
Student films to be screened
“Ghoul School”
Written and directed by Brook Linder.
A comedy/horror story about a haunted high school and the efforts of two young students to reveal the truth behind the cover-up of events that led to the haunting.
“Apollo”
Written and directed by Bryan Manning.
A science fiction story about a young couple who struggle to cope with the dying sun.
“Dither: The DIY Story”
Sam Geneser, Bret Hoy, Kaitlyn Manlove and David Mudd
A documentary about the Do-It-Yourself independent music movement in the 1970’s.
“My Daughters Dragon”
Written and directed by Adam Wagner, produced by April Clore.
An artist uses his imagination to persuade his young step-daughter to see him as her dad.
