In memoriam: Emeritus professor Rodney Frew

A memorial scholarship has been established in honor of Rodney Frew, emeritus professor of art.

Emeritus professor Rodney Frew died on June 28 after a long period of declining health.

Frew received his Master of Fine Arts from the University of Arkansas in 1962. In 1963, he was appointed assistant professor at Missouri State. In the spring of 1970, he attended the University of Iowa for post-graduate study. He retired from Missouri State after 34 years of teaching and was granted emeritus status.

Frew’s exhibition record was dense with significant national and international-level juried exhibitions and many one- and two-person exhibitions.

His notable print series include: The Little General, Mr. Magic and Seven Deadly Sins.

A scholarship has been established in his honor.
