Missouri State faculty and 16 current BSE-speech and theatre students attended this year’s STAM conference in September. The conference provides members the opportunity to come together with other professionals in their field and spend several days collaborating, learning and celebrating. Attendees had the opportunity to attend six different workshops in addition to other keynotes and activities.
This year, MSU held a special place at the STAM conference, with current students and alums receiving distinction.
- Melissa Harper, alumna, received the Outstanding New Teacher of the Year award for her contributions at West Plains High School.
- Molly Beck and Brad Rackers, alumni, were elected to the STAM Board of Governors.
- John O’Neil, current student, was elected as the student representative to the STAM Board of Governors.
