Renowned photographer Ken Graves will present a lecture in the auditorium of Duane G. Meyer Library at 7:00 p.m on Wednesday, April 18. This free event is sponsored by the Student Photographic Society and photography faculty in the Department of Art and Design, and is partially funded by Student Organization Funding (SOFAC). Graves will discuss photographic work produced throughout his career.
Ken Graves is a professor emeritus of art at Pennsylvania State University. His work is in the permanent collections of numerous museums, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, the Brooklyn Museum, the New York Public Library, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. He has received numerous grants and fellowships, including a Ferguson Grant, National Endowment for the Arts Fellowships in 1975 and 1986, and the John Guggenheim Fellowship in 2000. With partner Eva Lipman, Graves has authored several books of photography, including Ballroom (1989) and the upcoming The Making of Men.
