MSU Art and Design students recently participated in the Community Partnership of the Ozarks Underage Drinking Task Force Higher Education Committee Annual Poster Contest. Students created the posters as part of an assignment in Cedomir Kostovic’s Image Design class. Of the 56 entries, MSU students took the top three overall awards. Their posters will be reprinted and placed throughout the community.

  • 1st place overall – W. Sylvester Wyatt – “This school year…Rush Sobriety – the lower the drinks per week the higher the GPA”
  • 2nd place overall – Megan Shiver – “[mountain climber] Hangover (the fun kind) – The majority of college students do not binge drink”
  • 3rd place overall – Jared Horman – “[water bottle with an ignition and key in it] – 70% of college students use a designated driver”

The judges of the contest included media experts, graphic design experts, prevention experts, coalition experts and community volunteers. The creators of the highest scoring poster of each university and the overall highest scoring poster will be recognized at an award ceremony on April 30, 2013.
