Faculty members from the departments of art and design and theatre and dance are recipients of this year’s Missouri State University Foundation Awards for Excellence in Teaching, Research and Service.

The Missouri State University Foundation Awards for Excellence in Teaching, Research and Service are intended to provide incentives for continued performance to a select number of full-time faculty who evidence significant accomplishments in teaching, research and/or creative activities, and service.
2017 COAL recipients
Keith Ekstam, Kurt Heinlein and Carol Maples are among the Foundation Awards recipients for 2017.
- Ekstam, professor in the department of art and design, was awarded the Foundation Award for Excellence in Research.
- Heinlein, professor in the department of theatre and dance, was awarded the Foundation Award for Excellence in Teaching.
- Maples, professor in the department of theatre and dance, was awarded the Foundation Award for Excellence in Service.
Ekstam, Heinlein and Maples — along with three other Foundation Award recipients from across the university — will be recognized at the All-Faculty Recognition Reception on May 2.
