Continuing our Showcase Spotlight Series are two faculty members from the McQueary College of Health and Human Services: Natalie Allen and Dr. Traci Garrison!
Natalie Allen, Clinical Associate Professor in the School of Health Sciences, and Dr. Traci Garrison, Clinical Associate Professor in the School of Health Care Professions, will be joining us at the Showcase this year to present about the fully online interprofessional education project (IPE) and the many lessons learned from the impact on students it has had. This project fostered cross-disciplinary collaboration for students, allowing them to grow their confidence and communication skills to better prepare for further studies or entrance into the work force. Study of the impact of the virtual IPE provides an opportunity for faculty to explore how interprofessional collaboration, student learning, and teamwork can be positively affected by the implementation of this initiative, providing faculty with useful information that highlights the potential for further IPE integration into higher education. Attend this session to learn about this exciting project and the lessons we can learn from it!
