Welcome to the Showcase 2025 Spotlight Series! This series will be introducing you to the Showcase 2025 presenters every Wednesday, and kicking us off this week is our Keynote Speaker for the 2025 Showcase: Dr. Sidney Dobrin!
Dr. Dobrin is the chair of the University of Florida’s English Department, acts as a Digital Thought Leader for Adobe, and is Founding Director of the Trace Innovation Initiative – among many other accomplishments and roles. His areas of expertise range amongst all things Generative AI, and he has a variety of publications under his belt on this topic.
Dr. Dobrin will both facilitate the Morning Workshop and present during the Keynote Luncheon at the Showcase this year. During both sessions, he will be guiding attendees through the important topic of Generative AI integration in higher education, sharing his knowledge on what is surely one of this era’s most hot-button topics. Dr. Dobrin’s expertise will be invaluable to faculty looking to gain insight or guidance into various aspects of the evolving tool that is Generative AI, and his sessions at the Showcase provide a can’t-miss development opportunity for educators and researchers alike.
