Viticulture Engineering students make great chefs!

April 8, 2019 by Marilyn Odneal

The five Viticulture Engineering students from Ningxia who are taking the viticulture course I teach invited me to have lunch on Sunday, April 7. When I arrived, I was served a feast of wonderful Chinese foods cooked by my students!! Everything was delicious and I am going to try a few of the recipes in the future.

The lunch was wonderful and included pork ribs and potatoes (middle), Potatoes and seaweed with red pepper (front) and clockwise from the front tofu, rice noodles and cabbage, eggs with tomatoes and onions, sweet sesame chicken, carrot, celery and green onion stir fry and egg drop soup with spinach. We each had a bowl of rice to eat with each of the dishes. Fresh fruit was for dessert and we sampled some home made ice cream, but were too full to eat any more!
The girls had been cooking for two hours!

And of course, the dishes!
And of course, the dishes!

I enjoyed the lunch every much as well as the company of my kind and thoughtful students.
