At the Missouri State Fruit Experiment Station

Pruning Workshop

March 3, 2023 by Jennifer Morganthaler

It was a cold and muddy day for the pruning workshop, but several people braved the weather and attended.  Susanne and Randy discussed pruning tools and types of cuts and pruning methods for Apple, Peach, Pear and Grape. We then separated into two groups and Susanne discussed grape pruning, gave a demonstration and answered questions.  Randy, Tom, and Shelia demonstrated Apple, Pear and Peach and answered questions. The group not only received information and a demonstration, but they also got to do some pruning if they wanted. The weather was cold and windy, but we made it.
