Free Financial Wellness Webinars

Because your financial well-being impacts more than just your wallet.

At Missouri State University, we offer several resources to support your total well-being—including your financial wellness. Whether you’re planning for retirement, navigating debt, or saving for a major milestone, it’s important to have access to reliable information and tools that help you make confident decisions. This free webinar series is one example of the many financial wellness resources available to you.

Free Webinars to Support Your Journey

The Financial Wellness Webinar Series, offered by Corebridge Financial, includes expert-led, no-cost sessions on topics such as:

  • Planning for retirement
  • Understanding Social Security
  • Investing wisely in uncertain times
  • College and healthcare savings
  • Women and financial planning
  • Estate and legacy planning

Each session is clear, approachable, and designed to help you take meaningful steps toward financial security.

Why Does Financial Wellness Matter?

According to the Corebridge article, “Building Financial Capabilities”, only 43% of people rate their financial wellness as “good.” That points to the importance of building knowledge and confidence in personal financial matters.

Improving your financial capabilities can lead to:

  • Reduced financial stress
  • Better decision-making
  • Long-term security
  • Greater retirement readiness

MSU Retirement Options

Missouri State University provides a strong foundation for retirement planning with employer-sponsored plans for full-time employees through CURP (College and University Retirement Plan) or MOSERS (Missouri State Employees’ Retirement System), depending on your eligibility.

In addition to these core retirement programs, MSU offers voluntary supplemental retirement savings plans, available to both full- and part-time employees:

  • A 403(b) plan with multiple investment provider options; including Corebridge
  • A 457(b) plan through Missouri Deferred Compensation

These plans allow you to save extra for retirement through payroll deductions while giving you flexibility in your contribution levels and investment strategies.

Invest in Your Financial Future

Even one small step—like attending a webinar—can make a meaningful difference in how you manage your finances. Take advantage of the resources MSU provides and continue building toward a more secure future.
