The Missouri State University Board of Governors voted Aug. 3 to grant the University Leadership Chair to Provost Dr. John Jasinski and Executive Vice President Zora Mulligan.
The pair earned the award for their work in helping develop and implement the university’s realignment.
The designation is for two years, and each will receive $4,500 per year in supplemental pay.
Jasinski was appointed interim provost in July 2022 and Mulligan recently began her second year at the university.
The Board of Governors established the University Leadership Chair in 2008 under the leadership of Mary Schrag. The board awards the endowed chair to a member of the university’s central administration who has demonstrated superb leadership.
Its most recent recipients were Suzanne Shaw, vice president for marketing and communications, and Steve Foucart, former chief financial officer. Other past winners include Dr. Jim Baker, Ryan DeBoef and Dr. Frank Einhellig.
