JOB TASKS AND ACTIVITIES
Film, edit, and produce weekly QuickNews TV programming. Oversee and produce video production projects for the district. Evaluate, track, and report usage of the district communication mediums and recommend improvements to existing platforms for increased effectiveness. Proofread and edit content for publication; follow up with departments on content deadlines and annual/regular updates. Gather and provide content for district video publications. Assist in the implementation of district communication goals. Assume other responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Communication Officer.
EDUCATIONAL/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Experience with video production, editing and filming. Bachelors degree in communication, video journalism, video production, or extensive experience in similar field. Ability to meet production deadlines. Ability to follow through on all matters and the skills to attend to details. Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward generating successful teamwork. Willingness to understand and support the District’s Comprehensive School Improvement Plan. Must successfully pass a background check and drug test that are satisfactory to the Board of Education.
