Six Missouri State University students were recently named 2024 – 2025 Citizen Scholars. Three of them are students within the College of Business, and from those three, two are part of the Marketing Department: Ashlie German and Kayla Pfitzner. The full list of scholars is listed below.
2024 – 2025 Citizen Scholars
- Ashlie German
- Senior student majoring in Supply Chain, Logistics and Operations Management.
- Kayla Pfitzner
- Senior student pursuing an accelerated MBA and a Marketing Analytics graduate certificate.
- Gerald Schiele IV
- Senior student majoring in Accounting.
- Faith Collins
- Junior student majoring in Professional Writing.
- Michael Guilfoy
- Senior majoring in Political Science and Modern Language.
- Simoriah Longhorn
- Senior student majoring in Nutrition and Dietetics.
Ashlie is from Springfield, Missouri, and serves as the chapter president for Delta Sigma Pi Professional Business Fraternity. Planning to relocate to either Kansas City or Dallas, Texas post-graduation, the Marketing Department will be wishing Ashlie the best as she continues her academic journey and begins her career in the near future.
Kayla is also native to the Springfield, Missouri region. Pursuing her MBA, she serves as the president of the MBA Association, vice president of service for Women in Business, and on the Student-Athlete Advisory Council.
As the highest award available to Missouri State University students, the Citizen Scholar Award has recognized 101 outstanding students since its initiation in 2007. Students are recognized based on the following: stellar achievements in academics, community engagement and leadership.
