Missouri State University’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter has once again demonstrated excellence, leadership, and competitive spirit at the 2026 Collegiate FBLA State Leadership Conference (SLC) held in St. Joseph, Missouri. Competing against 13 colleges and universities from across the state, the team delivered an extraordinary collection of top placements and earned a long list of students the opportunity to travel to Las Vegas this summer for Nationals.
Missouri State FBLA SLC Delivers Top Results
MSU students earned top placements in numerous individual and team competitions, showcasing their diverse talents in business, communication, technology, and leadership. Highlights include multiple first-place finishes in events such as Business Law, Computer Applications, Finance Case Competition, and Foundations of Technology.

Team competitions were another area of strength. Students secured first place in both the Digital Design and Communications Case Competition and the Marketing Sales & Communication Case Competition.
Recognition of Excellence in Leadership and Service
Beyond student success, the chapter also celebrated significant individual honors. Alyson Harter was recognized as “Who’s Who in Missouri Collegiate FBLA,” a prestigious distinction highlighting leadership, academic excellence, and service.
Additionally, Courtney T. Pham, Senior Instructor and advisor of the MSU FBLA chapter, was named Outstanding Local Advisor for Missouri. This award reflects her dedication to student development, mentorship, and the continued growth of the program.

Advancing to Nationals in Las Vegas
As a result of their strong performance, 15 MSU students have qualified to advance to the FBLA National Leadership Conference, which will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, from June 5–8. The success at the state level highlights the hard work, preparation, and commitment of MSU’s FBLA members, as well as the guidance and support provided by faculty and advisors.
Congratulations to every student who competed at the 2026 SLC, whether you placed or not, you represented Missouri State University with pride. Special recognition goes to all participants, winners, and advisor Courtney Pham for an exceptional showing at this year’s conference.
