Position Overview

The Part-Time Material Handler supports daily warehouse operations by accurately handling inbound, stored, and outbound products for a variety of clients. Responsibilities include checking incoming and outgoing loads, verifying products against shipping documents, assisting with inventory, and helping ensure products are handled accurately and safely.

The position offers flexible scheduling between 2:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Employees can select the days and hours that work best for them within those available times. Once a schedule is agreed upon, employees are expected to consistently work their selected days and hours.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Move, load, and unload food products, materials, and packages by hand, pallet jack, or forklift from trains, railcars, and trailers.
• Complete paperwork and use scanners to accurately ship and receive client food products.
• Pick orders, select products, and assist with inventory control as needed.
• Transfer information manually and electronically to coworkers and the Inventory Control Team.
• Monitor warehouse inventory through cycle counts.
• Help maintain a clean and organized warehouse by completing assigned sanitation duties.
• Follow company safety and food safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Attention to detail and strong mathematical abilities.
• Ability to lift 50–75 pounds at a time.
• Ability to work in cold and extremely cold warehouse conditions.

Previous warehouse and forklift experience are preferred but not required.
