The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is hosting “The NIH Grants Process: A Brief Walk-Through for Beginners” webinar on May 15, 1:00-2:30 pm ET. Registration is required.
This webinar will address many of the basic questions that NIH frequently hears from newcomers to the process. The webinar will include a live Q&A with NIH experts who will be helping to answer additional questions submitted during the registration process and raised during the event.

This webinar will discuss NSF’s implementation of the National Science and Technology Council-approved Common Forms for the Biographical Sketch and Current and Pending (Other) Support. This session will cover the policy behind NSF’s implementation in the Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide (PAPPG) (NSF 24-1). In addition, our colleagues from NIH/National Library of Medicine will provide a demonstration of the revised capability to create and download these required proposal documents in SciENcv.

Missouri Foundation for Health (MFH) invites organizations to submit concept papers for systems change projects that will positively impact the health of Missourians. MFH is interested in community-driven work that challenges and disrupts inequitable systems.
Projects should address structural issues that impact health, either via social determinants of health or health care. Approaches include changes to policies, practices, resource flows, relationships, power dynamics, narratives, or mental models.
To share your idea with Missouri Foundation for Health, submit a brief concept paper. Missouri Foundation for Health will review concept papers and then send invitations to organizations to submit full proposals if the idea fits with Opportunity Fund and aligns with their mission and values.
Concept papers are due April 30, 2024, by noon (CT).

The International Center for Responsible Gaming invites investigators to apply for a Travel Grant, Seed Grant or Large Grant to study the etiology, prevention and treatment of gambling disorder, a behavioral disorder highly comorbid with other addictive and psychiatric disorders.
Large Grants offer up to $75,000/per year in direct costs for 2 years plus 15% indirect costs.
Seed Grants offer up to $40,000/per year in direct costs for one year plus 15% indirect costs.
Travel Grants support the participation of post-doctoral investigators presenting a poster or paper on gambling disorder at a scientific meeting in 2024 or 2025. Applicants may request up to $1,500.
