Senior, Health Services major
If there is one thing that can be certain for the 2020-2021 school year, it is that students, faculty, and staff have all become more health-conscious than ever before. This past year, Patrick Seacrist, a senior Health Services major, has been helping others to understand the risks of COVID-19 and assist regularly with the on-campus asymptomatic testing. As a COVID Response Team member, Patrick has been routinely involved in instructing COVID-positive campus members on how to properly quarantine and keep themselves and others safe for the duration of their sickness. Patrick is extremely passionate about his involvement on the Response Team and is thankful for the opportunity to serve others in such a trying time.
Outside of the Response Team, Patrick is involved in the Student Government Association (SGA) as the Chief Wyrick Commissioner and previously as the Director of Administrative Services. Currently he heads the Alumni Relations committee for Theta Chi. On SGA, Patrick works a number of projects, such as spearheading the addition of security cameras in Craig Hall. Also, to help prevent COVID risks, he is working with the Foster Recreation Center to increase jerseys for intramural sports teams so that members have fresh sportswear for each game. Throughout his college career, Patrick has dedicated himself towards paying his blessings forward, and leaving a lasting impact on campus health and safety.
