Missouri State University’s Office of Public Affairs Support and University Libraries has joined with United We to host the traveling exhibit, “The Rise of Missouri Women in the Federal Reserve.” Visit the exhibit Nov. 11-15, 2024 on the first level of the Duane G. Meyer Library.
This exhibit highlights the voices—past and present—of several trailblazing women from the two regional Federal Reserve banks in Missouri. How might their career journeys inspire you? Their stories speak to the advancements and challenges women have faced, the camaraderie and mentorship they found, and the ways they helped increase our awareness and understanding of the economy.
You will hear their voices throughout this exhibit, then be introduced to them at the end. Eight themes emerged from their journeys and are displayed on eight separate panels in this exhibit. These stories are meant to educate, inspire and be celebrated.
Through the lens of history, progress and promise, exhibit researchers Jacquelyn Eidson and Sirisha Naidu provide an inspiring story into the times of uncertainty and struggle for women in the workforce.
(Exhibit will be completed for viewing by noon on Mon., Nov. 11 and disassembled the afternoon of Fri., Nov. 15.)
