It still has not hit me that in less than 3 weeks I will be on a different continent. I am very excited but the closer it gets the more I realize I need to do. The next few weeks are going to be a whirlwind: class, packing up my dorm, finals, and packing for the trip. I hope that I am well prepared and after orientation I am feeling better about the trip. I still find myself with nervous thoughts when realizing how different everything on this trip is going to be. Although I have traveled before, this is going to be an experience like no other. I cannot wait to see what this trip will teach me and how many stories I will have from my times abroad.
This group of people I am traveling with seem just as excited/nervous for the trip as I am and also seem like a great bunch. Being the only member not in the college of business, I sometimes get lost in discussion, but they do a great job of making me feel included.
Let the countdown to departure begin.

Just let us know if we need to slow down the discussion or explain something to you. I think we all forget that you haven’t had all of the same classes as us, so we just discuss like normal. If we are using to much business lingo or you’re lost on something, feel free to point out that you’re new to the whole business education world. We’d be happy to try to include you in business discussions though. And, I’m sure you have plenty of goods points from the Honor’s college and Nursing to lend to the conversation.
Looking forward to getting to know you and everyone else. Good luck on finals,
-Tanner
