Today we rose early to attend the floating market. It was a brief visit, but it was neat to see the river culture and watch the exchanges of commerce. Got some great shots on the river.
I am full blown sick today. I have some chest congestion and i am drinking a ton of water to keep up with the amount of water I am sweating. Trying to ward off infection. Hope I succeed.
Meanwhile we have spent most of the day in a bus traveling to a sluice gate sight that was designed by Royal Haskingon engineers. They constructed a series of levies and sluice gates that allow farmer in this region to raise a rice crop three times a year. The land here is beautiful. So much green and fruit everywhere. Jack fruit trees, papaya, mango so many lovely things to eat that just casually grow in peoples front yards. I think of the good fortune of having so much wonderful produce at your fingertips all time. The farmers we met are so proud of their land as well they should be.
