We woke up early today again to fly from Yangon to Bagan. My first impression of Bagan from the airplane window was the emptiness of this city. It just looked like a desert place with no livings. Today was our last day in Myanmar as a group. We met with the Inle tour guide and he took us to the cat jumping monastery that is in the middle of the lake. Surprise, another early morning flight. Today we headed to Heho. From the Heho airport, our tour guide picked us up and took us to Inle (in = lake, le = four). We checked into a very quaint resort like hotel and then had lunch. After lunch we did a lot of tourist sight seeing. The second day in Bagon, we went to Mt. Popa and visited the nat shrines there. Popa is a word from the Palay language which means flower. Nat is a word for spirits. Our tour guide explained that they give offerings to the nat (there are around 37 of them) so they will protect them or bless them in different areas which the nat specializes in.
