Today, some of the Vietnamese students took a few of us around town. I was lucky enough to be one of the individuals to get to go. On the bike ride, we visited two Buddhist temples. I was extremely excited. These temples did not disappoint. While inside, I saw followers lighting incense to honor and meditate Buddha and other gods. It was quite serene. I felt at home.
After the temples, we went and got ice cream. It was such a nice experience. I felt like I am becoming more of a well-versed and regular young adult in the city and less like a tourist.
For dinner, I went to a clay pot place. There was so much food and it was so good.
Tomorrow is PVNF sight location and Saigon brewery and tunnels from the war. Better get some rest.
