I started looking up things to do and places to see in Vietnam when/if we have extra free time and I found a website that lists the top 10 things to do and found many of them interesting!
- War Remnants Museum
- I was already planning to go here if we have the extra time because I think it will be a very interesting experience. Especially to see the war from their prospective.
- Cu Chi Tunnels
- This attraction interests me a lot! It would be so cool to go through the same tunnels that the soldiers went through while they were hiding in the jungle!
- Cao Dai Temple
- Jade Emperor Pagoda
- Bitexco Tower and Sky Deck
- This would be a great way to see the amazing view the city has to offer. This is a 68 story office building (the highest in Vietnam). It is a sky bar and I’m sure the sunsets here are beautiful!
- Mariamman Hindu Temple
- Reunification Palace
- Binh Tay Market
- This is the market that I talked about in my last post that is close to our hotel. Since this market mainly serves the local population, it will be a great experience to see how they eat on a daily basis and even try some for ourselves!
- Ho Chi Minh Central Post Office
- Notre Dame Cathedral
- From the looks of our schedule, I believe we are already going here and I am very excited to see it. Growing up the Notre Dame Cathedral was always a place that I knew about but never a place I thought I would be able to visit.
If you would like to read more about each of the places, you can find the article I read at http://www.vietnam-guide.com/ho-chi-minh-city/top10/top10-ho-chi-minh-attractions.htm.
