Today was our first full day in Vietnam, and it has been a very interesting one. We had a visit with the American Center and I thought we were given lots or interesting information. We learned about foreign services, the current and future state of Vietnam, and how the United States works with and maintains relationships with other countries. After a nice lunch, we went back to give our presentation and later answer questions for those who attended. My jet lag was hitting me extremely hard at this point so certain aspects were probably more difficult than they would be otherwise, but it was still an interesting experience. We then went straight over to our university visit. We introduced ourselves and compared universities. We then were given scooter tours by some of the students, and that took a fun turn. The drivers for Rachel and I got lost, so we ended up riding around in some heavy rain for over an hour. It was still a really fun experience, and im actually glad it happened because it gave us more of a chance to get to know the students driving us around, and getting soaked was a great way to wake me up. It was an interesting day for sure!
