Kuranda rainforest was a beautiful site to be at. We rode a train built in the 1950s up to the top of the hill to the village markets. On the train ride we listened to the history of the railroad, which seemed like a physically rolling task to take on. It was an extensive process with a couple stops with views of waterfalls and mountains. The smoke from the Fires prevented us from seeing very far, but what we could see was beautiful. The plan was to take the sky rail back down when exiting, but because of a sudden lighting storm we were directed to wait for a bus in a congested line. We made the best of it and eventually made it back to the hotel where we packed for our next day of traveling and rested from the hiking!
