In chapter 3 we learned a lot about what a countries geography and markets can look like. It’s important to know where you are geographically so you can understand your own strengths and weaknesses. In the book it gave an example of shipping glass in boxes with hay to protect the glass and when the glasses arrived they were shattered due to climate change. I feel like this was the perfect example to really understand what works in your country, but knowing the importance of understanding what works in other countries conditions. Also it’s important to know what your country can do well for trade, this includes knowing what resources you have and contribute. Knowing how to use your resources to benefit everyone is something that will impact the future as well. From the text it explains how environmental protection is no longer an option, but an essential part of doing business in today’s world. Striving for sustainable development will be able to help others and the environment, like a win-win situation.
