The Missouri State University Board of Governors voted Aug. 3 to grant the University Leadership Chair to General Counsel Rachael Dockery and Chief Financial Officer Steve Foucart.
Dockery has been general counsel at Missouri State since 2014. Foucart has been chief financial officer at Missouri State since 2013 and worked in other positions at the university since 2008.
The designation is for two years and each will receive $2,000 per year in supplemental pay.
“Rachael and Steve are invaluable to our university,” said Smart. “Their cool heads and analytical minds have seen us through many challenges. We have many great members on the administrative team and Rachael and Steve are among the best.”
The University Leadership Chair was established in 2008 by the Board of Governors under the leadership of Mary Sheid. The Board is able to award the endowed chair to a member of the university’s central administration who has demonstrated superb leadership. Previous recipients include Dr. Jim Baker, Dr. Michael Nietzel and Dr. Frank Einhellig.
