Finalists for the Missouri State University-West Plains chancellor position will visit campus in the next few weeks.
Each candidate will have an open forum for community members and an open forum for faculty, staff and students in West Plains and an open forum for community members in Mountain Grove.
Biographies of each candidate will be posted to the search website on the Monday of the week of their visit.
Candidate one schedule
The first candidate will visit on March 27.
Schedule:
- 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. – Campus wide meeting with faculty, staff, SGA officers and students on the West Plains campus, Melton Hall Room 112
- 2:15-3:15 p.m. – Community-university reception on the West Plains campus, Kellett Hall
- 5:30-7 p.m. – Community reception on the Mountain Grove campus, Shannon Hall
Candidate two schedule
The second candidate will visit on April 10.
Schedule:
- 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. – Campus wide meeting with faculty, staff, SGA officers and students on the West Plains campus, Melton Hall Room 112

A third candidate may visit on April 12.

Current chancellor retires in May
Chancellor Drew A. Bennett announced in August that he would retire at the end of the spring 2018 semester.
Bennett is the 7th person to lead the West Plains campus and is the 2nd longest serving.
